We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill permanent full-time positions of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Avionics Aircraft Technician (CAT 38) at our Maintenance Centre based in Montreal.

Avionics Aircraft Technician (CAT 38) or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers are basically responsible for the maintenance of aircraft electrical, electronic and instrument systems which explains why they should have the following skill sets:

  • Ability to use tools correctly, including methods, techniques, and equipment that are required to perform aircraft maintenance.
  • Reading ability and knowledge of various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting and proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools.
  • Be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a tasking, high-stress environment.

Aircraft Technician (CAT 38) Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a High School diploma
  2. Must have at least 4 years’ industry related experience or have completed a recognized apprenticeship program,
  3. Have a license for Transport Canada (MOT) AME “E” is mandatory
  4. Possession of a valid driver’s license is mandatory
  5. You should successfully pass the pre-employment qualifying exam
  6. Be available for doing night, evenings and days work which includes weekends and holidays.
  7. This posting is permanently needed for Nightshift. However, there is a Possibility to change with seniority.
  8. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
  9. You need to pass security clearance and obtain the Transport Canada security card. Please refer to Transport Canada site for more details.
  10. Get endorsements on Air Canada aircraft type.
  11. Possess current security clearance.LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS
